Got the parts to make this whole again, 😕.
100 bucks, not too bad.
Gotta figure how to get the fender fixed. Don't really feel like getting the damn thing to the shop again.

I'm also considering getting a steel bumper made, or modify one of mine that I have laying around.

That SUCKS! But, I like that you're looking at it as an opportunity to upgrade. My '84 was missing the lower valance, bumper, brackets... and was generally in rough shape. So, I hunted down an ARB bumper.

In keeping with the "Here's what you '84 might look like" pics...

Love your ARB. Them guys are really $ proud of their bumper. I have a couple steel bumpers I designed and built for the fj cruiser. Owned two of those, lol. I'll modify one to suit. Maaan, yer truck looks awesome btw!

Got my transmission fluid replaced today. Put some redline in there. That is some good stuff. Expensive, but good. I realized upon inspection that my rear output flange has a tiny bit of play in it. I’m gonna make sure it’s tight but I ordered the output bearing and the seals to tackle that. I have noise and a bit of vibration upon lifting off throttle. Thinking that that might be the culprit. Will report once I tackle.

I had to drive my truck in the salt!! Had to grab diesel for my tractor. While that is unimportant, what is important is the fact that I finally got my front lift on. Replaced all the steering components too, and I have front bp5100 at my door today as well to replace the shocks too! The current ones are about 3/4 inch too short. Looking to get a new bumper on this as well.

Bed is going to powder coat too this spring, after I make some mods.

Got some bp5100 for it, turns out thwy were too long. My lift is 2.5" in the front. Having a hard time finding shocks for it. Anyone have any suggestions? I put back the original bilstein 4600 series. While they fit fine, I am short about 3/4" of negative travel. I'm wondering which route to go. Would like a proper shock too, not some low quality junk.

I am a but between sizes. Bump stop to control arm , compressed, the shock must be 11.25 or slightly less. Fully extended I need them to be 15.5 or slightly over.
That's it. I have been looking by size, but looks like I can't find the right shock. I found skyjackers, but not too thrilled about those.

Shocks are great. Whole front end is sorted. The steering is a bit twitchy, I bet cause of the lift. I have to replace my driveshaft ujoints, cause ther is some vibration that I can't pinpoint. Other than that, should be good for a long while .

I have actually seen this truck and met @mongoose2231 today. The truck is outstanding and that bed tray can be a monster workhorse when needed. As for the @mongoose2231 himself….a fantastic guy, amazing attitude, super friendly, and remarkably conscientious.

Thanks again sir…
