Rear Seat Rust WARNING

Looking over my rusty 80 and noticed that the 2nd row seat belt mount on the fender is separating from what looks like internal rust. I removed the rear seats and seat belts. Not sure what would happen in an accident. The read glob is RV sealant to seal the hole.

Below is the inside pass side fender. Red glob is where the belt mounts.

This came up before, about a year ago, but this is a good reminder that we drive old vehicles and it is important to check for rust in critical areas like this.
