Hi gang, I think I have an answer ready but I come to you for confirmation and advice.

My new-to-me 1999 LC is missing a trim piece on the rear passenger side quarter panel (picture attached). I've found a Toyota parts schematic that shows this piece to be #75651 (right side/passenger side, also schematic attached).

Next I went to Toyota Owners where I had made an account and it said my LC is Riverock Green Mica(1C3) for the color.

So finally I found my way to Toyota Parts Deals and pulled up a list of body moulding options:

Moulding for 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser | Toyota Parts Deal

and two of the options for #75651 have Medium Gray ME., 1C3 as part of their descriptor. I've attached a screenshot with red boxes around those two. The only discernible difference I can find is the manufacturing dates - the piece ending in H0 was manufactured between 1/1998-9/1999 and the piece ending in H2 appears to be the replacement piece manufactured between 9/1999 and 8/2000.

So right now my questions are:

  1. Am I right in assuming these two options that include 1C3 in their descriptions and say "Medium Gray" are the right color for my Riverrock Green Mica(1C3) body color?
  2. Assuming that's the case - is there any difference between the H0 and H2 pieces? Should I buy the older one because my LC is a 1999?
  3. Has anyone replaced this piece before? You can see I have bits of plastic in 3/4 of the holes left where this trim piece should go. Wondering what additional hardware, if any, I need to purchase to install it.
  4. Finally, I found ToyotaPartsDeal.com through Google - is there another online shop or store that people here recommend? I know one Moderator in particular here appears to have been the go to person for ordering parts but the post I saw from him said he's on hiatus now.
Thanks a ton in advance everyone - as you can surely tell I'm new to all this and already this community has been incredibly helpful on so many fronts!

1. Unsure, but most online toyota dealers request your vin when placing an order "to increase order accuracy." Most dealers list a phone # you can call, and verify with the parts people over the phone

2. I am guessing that no matter which you order, you will get the "H2" piece. H0 shows to be replaced by the H2 part in the screenshot above. It was the same way when I ordered the quarter trim piece for my '05 LX. Different color and part numbers, but it was something like B0 replaced by B2.

3. My quarter panel trim came with all of the hardware. I believe yours will too. In the picture above, it shows a bracket sort of encompassing the trim piece with two other part numbers and "(4)" beside them. It has been my experience that this means BOTH trim pieces (right and left) require a total of 8 fasteners. This seems to mesh with the picture of your rig...4 per side, 2 white and 2 red per side. The bracket indicates the fasteners are included.

4. I have had good luck with Camelback Toyota in AZ, and more recently McGeorge Toyota in VA. Both seem to have a lot of parts on hand, and have shipped to me the same day most times I have ordered. Although, I will defer to more senior members on the board as to other sources for parts that I may not be aware of yet.

You can call your local dealer and they can look it up with your VIN number to give you the color that you need. Runs $153 locally here and they had it the next day.....don't ask me how I know. Comes with the 4 push clips and 3m tape to the back to hold it firm so you will need to pop out the fasteners that are in yours currently.

Fantastic - thank you for the help. I didn't 't know you could still get 18 year old LC parts from the dealer so easily. I'm 2-3 hours from the nearest Toyota dealer but I called one and they said they could ship me the part. Should get here next week!

Hate to bump an old thread but I'm missing the same piece as OP. Toyota Owners site says mine is 1D2 (thunder cloud met). If I find a matching code on a piece, like say.... here: 2006 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER 4700CC 32-VALVE DOHC EFI, AUTOMATIC 5-SPEED Moulding, quarter, outside rh. Gray me., 056, 1d2, 1f7, 4r3; gray me - 7565160180B0 | Toyota Parts Overstock

Can I assume it comes already in the appropriate color? Because my dealer said the molding would be ~$100 but I'd also have to have it painted to match because it didn't come painted.

Edit: I called Lakeland Toyota (linked above) and they said it was painted in the color I needed after double checking my VIN, so I answered my own question.

I have a related question and this thread seemed as appropriate as any to ask...

Coincidentally, the very same trim piece @TheMcCannon needs, came off of my LC100 in the car wash. Unfortunately, it appears as though each of the brackets on the trim piece have broken (I've attempted to highlight in red circles in the picture). Does anyone know if this piece is "re-attachable" or will I need to buy a new piece?

I had the exact same issue in a car wash on the 2000 LC and the pieces split exactly in those places on each side. Have you had any luck finding replacement parts or fixing these? Thanks

I ended up using trim tape to reattach the piece. So far it has worked pretty well - no issues and it appears to be on securely.
