OK got it now. I didn't think it was working at first but it didn't take that long to do. Hatch fits better now.

The problem for me was indeed the tail gate. I pushed the tail gate stopper all the towards the front, which allowed the gate to push in more. I also moved the piece where rhyary placed his. All in all, I achieved my goal of making the lift gate flushed with the rest of the body. Feel kinda stupid for not adjusting the stoppers in the first place
