Well, I have been working on this on and off, but I'm hoping to have it finished next weekend. I wanted to have drawers like all the cool kids in the 80 group, so I gave my wife some dimensions and some rough sketches and she put her drafting/ Pro E skills to work...

shown in this post: https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=114508

I had to work out a couple of things but I got them built prety much as drawn.
The wood work portion of the drawers is to commence this weekend.

So here are some pictures of the metal structure, powder coated "Ripple Black" and then clear coated... and much against Jon's nay-saying Kaehr only took one week:D

Nice job Rory!

Did you go with 1/8" aluminum?

Any chance you can build up a second set of those babies? :D

Nice job!!! I'd love to do something like that in the back of my truck, but I don't have as much headroom as you guys and I think my puppy would be mad at me. :frown:

[ hat officially thrown in the ring if another set is put up for grabs ]

You mean Zoey doesn't get to ride shotgun?

I finally have her riding in the tailgate area. I really don't mind her riding shotgun for now, but in a few more months, she will be far too big for that. I weighed her Saturday and she tipped the scales at 88lbs... hard to believe she is that big already.

Nice job Rory...what I'd give for a hydraulic sheet metal brake and a bender...!
