ok before i rip the front disks off my 40 to test a crazy theory i had, someone please shoot me down. would front FJ40 disks work on a Fj40 Full Floater rear axle? axle tube looks about the same diameter as the fronts etc....

what i'm thinking is painless rear disks for the HJ45 (lotta mass for drums to pull up)

IMO, with a fullfloat rear, no reason it wouldn't work. I believe it's been done before, but no one has officially written up a process on it... <hint>

It doesn't work on a semi since the axles can wander in/out slightly.

saw that in the other rear brake writeup posted on here. about the semi floater

gotta get myself a wrecked 40 and a wrecked 60.

60 cv's knuckles and disks on the 40, 40 front disks on the rear of the 45, other disks for the front of the 45..... rear springs, 3f, 5 speed gearbox :) i'm going to be poor for life
