Rear Disk Brake Problems (1 Viewer)

Is there a residual valve in the master for the rear that should have been removed?

Also the brake light switch seems to stick after applying brakes and brake lights will remain on. This maybe related because if I pull back on the brake pedal, the brakes may seem to release. Not 100% sure. Did a short test drive today, and was just glad to get back to house with out burning up the brakes.

Front brakes are fine.

Any suggestions or ideas where to start would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you change your Master Cylinder?

If you are running the stock master cylinder there is a residual valve that needs to be removed for the rear circuit. It's a white puck thing under the brass nut where the brake line threads into.

I'm not familiar with all 80 series brake configurations. However, the 80 series master you needed was a non-ABS disc/disc unit assuming you have front disc brakes as well. When you said you could pull the brake pedal up, is the return spring there or did it brake and fall off?
