Looking for a rear diff for my 01 LX470, mine asploded. Is there any difference between a LC or LX in rear end ratios? Or anything else important I need to know before I proceed? Anyone got a diff? Thanks!

All I know is 98-02 4.30
But if you’re still running AHC there might be differences
03-07 4.10

Seems the only differences are one with a limited slip, one with a locker, and one with ‘nothing’.... How do I know if I’ve got a limited slip?

LX470 (factory) rear end in model years 98-99 (U.S. Market) came standard with a Limited Slip rear diff.

Land Cruiser (factory) rear end in model years 98-99 (U.S. Market) came standard with an open rear diff, but a selectable locking rear diff was available as an 'option'.

After that...I believe all were ATRAC.

Note: I am pretty certain Canadian Market LX470's (98-99) were available with a rear locker.

As he says. In 2003 switched from 4 speed to 5 speed auto transmission and the different gear ratios.
