Rear cargo lighting question

When I open my rear hatch the pitiful cargo light doesn't come on. I can manually turn it on or when opening one of the rear doors the light comes on. Has this been a common problem on hundy's? Is there a better light solution for back there? LED?? I can barely see back there with the stock cargo light on. Any suggestions? Maybe an early christmas present to my LX. Thanks as always.

Check the contact at the rear hatch. I put in one of George's 1w luxeon's, mmmmmmmm bright.

Where is the contact in the back I need to check and what exactly do I need to look for? About to order some of George's LED's. Going to start with the two dome's and then fork over some coin later for all of the door's and map lights(adds up quickly).

Ok, so unfortunately George is pretty much out of the LED's. I ordered one of the LED strips to mount in the back though. But what contact do I need to check on the back of the car to see why the light isn't coming on when I open the hatch. I looked for a little plunger but didn't see one. Thanks!

Did you wire it into the rear dome light circuit - if so, then it should come on when you open the passenger doors or the rear hatch?

Sorry the oem dome doesn't come on with the rear cargo door. It will turn on when opening one of the rear doors though.
