After a little mishap a few weeks ago when due to lack of maintenance on my part, the rear brakes where completely gone, I installed new calipers, brake pads, rotors and brake lines.

However, the driver side brake hose (right for us in Australia) doesn't want to align with the fixed brake line. Therefore not going in properly.
Is there a specific way in doing this?
The passenger side went in without any issues.

Attached is the passenger side.
At the moment I have installed the original hose outside the bracket but it is leaking.

This, and I've found it's easier to connect the soft lines to the hard lines before clipping them into the frame mounts.

Can't clip them in unless I make a slot in the bracket.

You can put it through the hole before connecting but just don't clip it until you get it threaded.

That's what I tried, no luck

So it's threading in but just has a slow leak or it won't start at all? Maybe just a slightly damaged thread or some dirt.

It's not treading in the new connector.
Other side went in just fine.
This side doesn't want to go in.
You might have a valid point, either damaged thread or dirty.

Yeah just take a close look, maybe wire brush or some small piece of dirt.
Good luck.

Had another thought during the night. (it's 8am here in eastern USA)
Sometimes it helps to slide the nut back a little on the hard line so you can get the inner tube all the way in to the flare.
Then slide the nut back up and you can actually see if the threads on the nut are lined up properly.

Cheers, I will have a good look on the weekend.
