I've twisted the rear brake line to the centre flexy, bugger.

While i wait for Amayama to deliver the correct parts, can i safely replace the damaged section? i don't have the double flare tool set so im thinking not, but searching here has left me a bit confused. If anyone has any tips i would love to hear it.

Ahhh I had myself all confuddled, new brake line being made tomorrow. And new tools for the shed as well 😬

you can make those flared brake hose lines easily.

I was looking at my existing flare tool and struggling with it, I've never made brake lines before just low pressure fuel lines.

Now I've seen what I was doing wrong it looks very straightforward. Nice one 👍

Yes it is. I had to make Girling type bubble flare for a Ford Cortina MK3 we own in Sri Lanka and that was a pain! Double flares are significantly easy. Make sure you first slide the nut in the right direction. I will be in the UK in June to pickup some parts for the Cortina on my way to Sri Lanka.

It was pretty straightforward to be honest, the tool I got from Amazon needed shimming with a piece of drinks can to grip the lines and so it's going back, but a better quality one is already on order.

Good luck with your Cortina bits 👍
