Rear axle with locker factory (1 Viewer)

I was recently offered a factory rear locking axle with everything for $1200. Am I insane to pass on this? I have spent an absurd amount of money this summer and just booked a family trip to North Cascades so intended to slow down but if this deal is crazy good I'll pull the trigger.
 
Thank you. Mine is a 2003. I've had to winch one time recently but otherwise the combo of tires, lift, sliders, and center locker have gotten me out of everything I've thrown at her. I just didn't want to be dumb if this was a great deal.
 
I would agree with @Trunk Monkey , that not really a screaming deal. It's not bad, but it's not a one of those "can't pass" deals.
 
I paid $400 at a junkyard for a '99 200K-mile locked axle. I suspect 700 is closer to the street price for this.
 
That OE locked axle has different gearing and would be more work than installing an Electromagnetic locker like Eaton/Harrop.... and the Eaton type is better.
