What gear do you check the automatic transmission fluid in. Park neutral or drive. I don't have the FSM with me.
Thnks,
Sean

From what I've read and the process I have used, do the following:

Start the sucker up, and shift through all of the gears and back to park. With the engine running, check the dipstick--it should be at "cold" or near it.

Then go drive around for about 15 minutes till it gets comfortable at operating temperatures.

Go through all the gears again, put it in park, and with the engine running, check the dipstick--it should read "hot" or near it.

Mine's a bit above "hot" but I'll live with it...

Best.
