We are almost to Eisenhower tunnel on 70 going up over the rocky mountains into Utah. The bag on our airlift suspension that goes inside of the coil popped. The AHC dropped down to low. The kit has you remove the bump stops. If it will tow in low am I OK or should I stop and go home? Trailer is about 3800 pounds loaded

Are both sides on the same air line? As in, once one bladder ruptured, both sides went down?

What PSI were you running?

3800lbs tow weight should be OK. Keep the suspension on the firmest setting. Moving the weight to the back will probably increase trailer wagging, so just be more vigilant. Do you have a trailer brake controller to help combat the trailer wagging on the fly if it gets too bad?

The pressure in your bladders went up 22% (compared to ambient) from Denver to the Eisenhower Tunnel. If you were running the bladders at 35PSI in Denver, this may explain the failure. Sorry it doesn't help you ATM, but for next time ....

We were running at 27psi. Both bags hooked up to the same line, so both deflated. We do have trailer brakes and controller. Thanks for the tip about putting the suspension in sport mode.

We rearranged the load and seems to be towing fine. (My wife is typing while we drive :)

The AHC dropped to low but is not flashing, so seems to be holding up. Thanks for the Mud help.

If you come back down the hill this way I'm in Morrison and I have a brand new in box Air Lift 1000 kit and can help you install it.

When you hit Grand Junction go to Metric Off-road, or detour to orchard city and hit up proffits for a solution.

They are cruiser heads and do the old stuff but will help you out.

J1000, that's cool of you to offer. We lost internet connection and were in the mountains for 4 days with no cell signal so just saw this. Ahc held up like a champ. It rode in low until it cooled off in the evening then popped back up to N. Redistributing the weight made a big difference and sway was fine. We made it to Utah and are going to my buddy Jake's (@uglyoinker, arusteddevelopment in Heber) to put the bump stops back in and maybe OME heavy, knock on wood.
