Update:
Got my 62 back yesterday afternoon and can say that after paying through the nose for:
Rebuilt A440 transmission
Rebuilt transfer case
Installation of transmission cooler
The car has never driven better. Haven't even tried 4L yet but will give it a few slow turns around the neighborhood tonight. The mechanics were at Dean Transmission in downtown Seattle at 4th and Blanchard.
After a transmission servicing should I be on the lookout for anything drippy? Should I expect no drippiness? When should I swap out the fluid? Same schedule as oil change or longer intervals in between?
