I am going to reserve my final thoughts after I see it for real. Here are two comments after seeing these pics.---The rear side window needs to extend farther back --The D pillar looks to thick ! Also, I'm going to sound like John McEnroe here but "You can't be serious, you can't remove the 3rd row seats ?" That being said I think I am going to like it once the "newness" wears off. Stiil, I am cross shopping a 2008 Range Rover S/C with this thing and the LC does have a significant price advantage..

If we lived in a world where the Highlander didn't exist, I would say the design shares similar characteristics to the 80. I would like more ground clearance and the interior appointments still look cheap for what they are going to ask for in price.
Remove the running boards and ignore the bloated lights and you may have something to marvel at.
plus the highlander came along and obviously attempted to mimic the look of the LC. Definitely not the other way around. We all know the Highlander is a pretender in all senses.
In all seriousness, I find it difficult to believe someone would confuse the 2008 LC and 2008 Highlander in person. Some of these pictures just do not do the vehicle justice.
Although I will admit that f*ing goofy tail that Toyota insists on does cause some confusion as well as the thick D pillar (still think that is a huge mistake).![]()
