Agreed. They didn’t reply to my email. I’m glad they did yours!

Aren’t TJM and Iron Man front bumpers basically identical?

I don’t know.

Didn’t Ironman have some (quality) issues with some of their products? I can’t remember for sure. Please clarify if I’m wrong or right. TIA.

I think it was the UCAs

They don't look that identical to me.

The TCC bumper looks like a "no cut"?

I see holes for the parking sensors, but looks like you lose the headlight squirters?

What are those tiny lights at the extreme ends? Turn signals?

at ~155lbs, how well would the stock suspension handle it? already running the arb summit rear bumper (~130lbs?) on stock with no issues. love how the stock rides and hate to lose that with an upgraded suspension...

I had the ARB summit (never again) Front on my 2014 Tundra, which is basically the same front suspension components and it was noticeable immediately with an 8k winch.

Sagged about 1/2” but brake dive was much worse

Camper was added after suspension upgrade

I'm on day 2 of this install and it's coming together. Install is pretty straight forward and easy to figure out - having to do quite a bit of grinding to make room for the Anderson KDSS relo system. Also had to grind down the recovery points a bit to make room for the welds on the lower brackets.

From what I've seen, the install seems to indicate that the OEM bumper cover comes off completely and doesn't get cut and reinstalled. Mine was ripped from trail damage and needed to come off regardless, but I'm really wondering if it can be cut and reinstalled to sit behind the bumper to clean up the lines a bit. It looks very industrial and borders on unfinished. I could live with it but would prefer to have the cover on. I'll email TCC to see if that would even work - may be too tight.

Here are picks of the install so far. All that's left is to finish soldering and wiring the lights back up. (ignore the yard - bought an old house and still working on the renovation. the back yard is still a disaster)

Also decided to replace the headlamp assemblies while I was in there. The old ones were chipped and starting to yellow a bit. .

Wow, that looks really good! I really like how flush and close it is to the lights/fenders (though agree, a little closer or more finished would look a bit better). I also like that the OEM bumper skin can stay intact, if it ever needs to go back on. Coming along great!

Approach angle for days. Now I just need to go find a wall to climb.

I also really like the tucked in design.

How much fun was it dealing with the parking sensors?

Are the headlight squirters supported?

What are those tiny lights at the very ends for?

How good are the fog lights?

Thanks for the photos, very useful.

You

You could get that rubber edge trim stuff to help fill in the gap and clean up the look. Does look like a nice bumper!

Same - it’s tucked in really well and I gotta say, damn, this thing is BEEFY. Miles above the MetalTech I had on it before.

Both parking sensors broke trying to get them off. I don’t know how the installer on the old bumper attached them but it was with some kind of glue that wouldn’t budge. I don’t use them anyway so probably wont bother replacing them.

The prefacelift version doesn’t support the headlight washers, so I removed them. I think I used them twice the entire time I’ve owned the truck. Once to go, ‘oh, neat’ - and another time to decide they’re not all that useful. Maybe if you spend a lot of time in mud. Maybe?

The lights on the end are just marker lights. I suppose you could wire them into the turn signal - I’m just wiring with the fogs.

Not sure about the fog light quality yet. The bumper is top-notch, so I’d guess the dogs are the same. They’re riveted to the bumper though, which is weird. I’ve got a 30” light bar from my old bumper that I’ll mount this weekend too. It gets dark at like 4pm in the winter here, so lights are VERY useful where I live.

Haven’t driven it yet - I’ll drive it this weekend. I think it’s only about 20lbs more than the old bumper, so I don’t expect much change.
