Did you ever figure out what was wrong dealing with very similar problem

Does the truck have an EGR valve? Look near it, and see if there is carbon spray on body. They plug up regularly.
Yeah it does! On the throttle body? Could that cause misfire

Turned out to be a bad number 2 fuel injector. Now on to a another issue. It's now stalling mid drive like it just ran out of fuel. Sometimes it picks back up like nothing ever happened. Sometimes it takes a couple tries to restart. Thinking it needs a new fuel pump. Runs really well otherwise. Makes me uncomfortable how well it runs. Like its toying with me.
Yeah I love my land cruiser but it’s driving me crazy right now
