Morning, guys. My name is Kyle and I roll with the Low Country crew. I saw the post on our board and would like to join, so long as you don't mind if I stay on the easy stuff.

One of our other members, @Yardboy is also interested in riding along.

ETA: I don't have a winch; just a high lift with winching kit (chains, straps, etc). Running ATs, but open diffs, so like I said - I'll be staying on the easy stuff. If it's going to be slick/snotty because of wet clay I may duck out. I don't want to be a burden on the group because I can't keep up.

Sounds good to me. If the park is too wet they wont even open. The easy trails can be good enough to ride through. The rough stuff is for buggies and jeeps that leave a lot parts behind

I'm planning to meet you guys down there for the day on the 27th, if the trip is a go. Last time we went down it was fairly dry and I'm pretty sure we rode just about every blue and green trail and 1 or 2 black? I can't really remember. Several of y'all were there too. As other have said, if it's wet, totally different ballgame. I have a winch and other gear, if needed. I think John mentioned it, but most trails make straps pretty useless. It's a tight park.

Weather looks good and dry for next week in Laurens, SC. Mid-50's daytime, 32 overnight Saturday. Let's hope that keeps or gets better.

Since there are various ways to get there from the different directions we're all coming, let's just say meet at Gulches at 10am Saturday. Bring a lunch. Plan any caravans with your local people.

I'm torn on camping. I kinda think most people plan on staying for just Saturday. Anybody wanna chime in and express interest one way or the other? If I camp, it would be more for the experience instead of a second day of 'wheeling. I originally suggested it as a way to get interest from folks coming in from places outside of CLT or CHLSTN and I'll definitely camp if those people are doing it, too. Won't knock a quick Sunday loop through the park, either. I just wish it was warmer to fish that river at the edge of the property. Sarah probably wishes it was colder to use her fancy camping gear.

Sorry. I'm out. :( friends are moving away and have scheduled a going away party at 2 on Saturday.

I will be there pending weather.

We'll be there, not camping

Looks like rain most of the week. Gulches could become a skating rink and not fun for me. Lets wait and see, I am open to going elsewhere too...

Fingers crossed. What would you like as a contingency plan?

Two clear days prior to Sat, we should be OK. Best is to give Skip a call the day prior to gauge conditions.

I really do H8MUD !

@JohnVee Do you think this trip is a go for this upcoming weekend?

Hopefully is good to go. As I remember, if it is your first time there they give you a follow along tour with a "park ranger". Also a safety briefing so you don't do stupid sheet. And stay off the "puddles", some are 6ft deep, photos of valiant drivers in the office that ignore his advice.
