I'm in

We're in. I have to check over the truck when Heather gets home from work. Some day I might even have my own Land Cruiser :)

Izzy - does this timetable have us near the bbq place for lunch? I'm bringing lunch just in case it doesn't.

Lunch is a funny word.

Btw, I just drove to work to get the 80 cleaned out, prepped and put in new speakers (it's parked there). Left the key at home. Fudge. That's only gonna cost me 2 more gallons of 40 gas. $2.59/g for ethanol free.

Assuming that Richland Rd is In/Out via the same way, then Woodland's BBQ is 10 minutes away. We don't have to go there but I've not seen this info posted elsewhere, so here it is for posterity.

EDIT: 1372 is Richland Road (the start at 321). The red dot at the top is Woodland's BBQ.

the exit is not there, is up north. We can do whatever the group wants, I am flex and happy eating an apple for lunch or BBQ.

Should be time for BBQ has been all the rest of the trips , but like you I'm bringing something in case.

I am game. Stopping for food would be way down on my priority list, so you guys can decide all that.

Eric, which vehicle is doing the honors tomorrow?

We come out on AHO road

Apples don't have the fat grams you require. Unless they're baked.

I'm taking the 80

Is it just the 4 of us?

Well turn on the CB when we get close Channel 7 OK?

We are also bringing lunch

What a long day! No mechanical mishaps, though, so all was good. We were gone just a hair over 12 hours and probably drove for almost 9 of them. We hit 3 trails: Richland Rd, SFR192, and 105 at Linville/Lake James. Good stuff. Izzy might have marked a few areas to return to for camping and further exploration.

Gentle waters to start out Richland.

Getting a bit more difficult at Richland.

I couldn't find a good angle to show just how "rocket-launch position" this exit from the water actually is. Izzy crawled right up this giant rock with the greatest of ease.

The SFR was a lot of this and a lot of tight, heavily low-canopied single track. It was still really slick in spots and had a lot of severe drop offs to the sides.

105. There was ice. There was snow. There was mud. There were some massively rutted out areas.

Thanks to Eric F, Izzy, Stan, Heather and Sarah for making it out to this trip. And, yes...Sarah slept through quite a bit of it. I wondered why she didn't want to drive...

More from 105.
