I posted a thread not too long ago about a leak coming from somewhere that was soaking the carpet by the front passengers kick panel......97 FZJ80 BTW. Well I've narrowed it done to leaking from when it rains, but where is it coming from? There are no signs of dripping water anywhere, just soaking carpet. Has anybody else had this problem?

If you change your screen name it might make the leaking stop. Your problem is most likely a clogged sunroof drain tube. Do a search and you should find plenty of treads regarding this subject.

Yes a lot of people have had leak problems; there are many sources that have been found So you are going to have to troubleshoot it. A search will get you to the previous threads.

The ones have heard of

Sun roof drains
Windshield
Door hinge holes
Vapor barrier on door

I had both a leaky vapor barrier and windshield on the passenger side, fixed the vapor barrier with sealant. The windshield was cracked so I had it replaced, windshield leaks worse now, need to get the guy back out here.

After watching him I think the windshield can be done on your own.

You could try resealing your window. I took my truck to the glass shop and they just put new silicon throughout and that solved the problem. Hope that helps.

Same here

DryFly,

I noticed some wetting on the interior trim at the top of the DS A-post and also wet carpet on the DS floor adjacent to the outside edge after a trip last week. The same wet spots were back again this mornng after a good rain last night. A quick look at the sunroof gutter identified that the DS drain tube was plugged with debris........a quick plunge with a straighted paperclip cleared the tube.

Thanks guy's, I'll dig around the sunroof.

close the sunroof when it rains?
:D
