I know CCOT has a metal one that is about half that price. I've done a few of those and it's pretty easy to do.
 
The CCOT one is out of stock. I would be wary of a fiberglass one. It could be thinner and not suitable for clamping on a roof rack. I have mine apart right now and I think I will be able to extend its life with scraping/wire brushing out the flaky stuff and hitting it with some POR15. Only broke one bolt this time (it was disassembled and retapped 8 yrs ago). I will get that out, retap all holes, and reassemble again with anti-seize.
