I've got the steps painted, and will try to finish the tire carrier tomorrow (Saturday).

Have we received the wheels from ACC? I really would like to get these 5x new tires out of my garage.

No, ACC contacted me yesterday that they still had not found a good way to ship them to us and I suggested that we pick them up at GSMTR to save the money.

I don't think I'm coming to Jeff's tomorrow...I feel terribly sick; took some meds earlier but no relief.

Ok, I have some screws and bolts to affix some small parts. Ed needs to do the wiper motor before we put the wiper mechanism back in. I still need to get the shocks and seats from IPOR.

Unless someone has found a lower ambi door latch plate or the speedo cable, we are on hold for the most part, except for wrapping up the electrical.

When I replaced my spedo cable a couple years ago I found I at the NAPA on 28 near Convenience in Manassas. It was about $13 and cross listed for a 70s Mazda truck.

Nothing to install this week. Waiting on carb and other stuff to arrive.

I have the side steps and rear tire carrier completed and ready to install. I don't have the hardware for either, though.

Also, I have the cast iron handle for the vintage OEM bottle jack set that Tom donated. Multiple coats of bright yellow.

I still have the OEM seats and slider brackets...what is the word on possible new replacements?

Lance at IPOR has some Recarro seats for us. They will sell us the shocks at cost. I need to arrange payment and pickup.

The carb and bump stop bracket have finally been wrestled from FedEx's hands. GSMTR and other obligations will preempt any work this weekend. After GSMTR, we will have the wheels to go with the tires.

Do I need to clean and paint the OEM 40 seat brackets and sliders? What do you recommend I do with the original seats (bottoms and backs)?

Yup, we'll also be selling the carb fan and the hardtop side window weatherstripping that will not be used.
