Radiator reservoir not emptying

First of all, thank you for everyone’s help.
I’ve replaced the fan assembly, water pump and radiator and have filled the reservoir. I’ve burped the hoses and followed the FSM, but I don’t believe the coolant is circulating. The temp gauge creeps up to 3/4 at 2500 rpm at which point I shut it down.
What say you?

Park on slight incline. Fill radiator to top. Start engine without radiator cap on. Squeeze upper radiator hose to distribute. It’s a self bleeding system. Sound likes it’s low on fluid.

I speak from experience here: if the rig is parked nose-down even that tool won’t be sufficient. Otherwise yes it is great.

It doesn’t take much incline, but it sure does seem to help to have at least some.

Agreed. Nose up is preferred, but level is fine with this tool. Even level with this tool, it will burp much faster and thoroughly compared to no tool and nose up. With minimal to no topping off in the drive cycles after.

Have done several coolant jobs on my Toyota trucks without issue - all raw-dogged with no spiffy plastics.

The kit is a ‘nice to have’, not a need to have by any means…..you can do it properly, and very easily, without.

I also have that funnel kit, it makes things so much easier and less messy. Total spillage is about a tablespoon, which is an easy cleanup. Highly recommended.

In complete agreement with you. I can do it without and you obviously can to. The kit just takes some of the guess work out of it for the average person. I don’t know everyone’s skill level. That large funnel lets you see the air escaping easily. You can see when your thermostat opens easily and know your water pump is circulating properly. All for $19.99. Well worth it imo.
