Rebuild complete, (I thought), new tires and wheels and took it for my first ride. She was running hot, needle was steady and what would be the 75% area. Pulled over and found that it was pissing fluid from two spots on the inside of the radiator. Right at the seam between the coil area and the top solid part.

I had it out this winter, I had planned on pressure testing it, but could not readily find a local place to do it. My fault for not searching harder.

In any event

any suggestions on where to purchase a new or rebuild radiator ?

Where is the normal temp needle position.

1972 fj 40, original engine, rebuild.

thanks

CCOT is good. Also, you can try Rockauto for an aftermarket radiator...or City Racer LLC for an OEM unit. There are other $$$$ units available.

Note: I installed a Rockauto CSF 2888 in my '77 just a month or so ago.

If you have a local dealer go there so you can inspect the radiator before purchasing. Toyota has a bad record for damaged radiators due to their very poor packaging. I think city racer @Racer65 inspects his before repackaging and mailing.
