Radiator Drain Plug

What size is the radiator drain plug fro a 72 FJ40? I have some how lost mine and in need of a replacement.

Not certain exactly, but this may steer you in the right direction....I've heard that a 2f sparkplug will be the correct thread pitch etc.

Might get one off the shelf, test fit and go from there.

Did you lose the whole thing or just the plug in the end of the long pipe extension?

Mine did not have the pipe extension in it when I got the truck. It had a bolt and a copper gasket. I found a bolt and a gasket. The threads in my radiator are 5/8-18 just in case anyone is needing one also.

Spark Plug

The spark plug works. I misplaced my drain plug and picked up a spark plug at Advance for $3 maybe. Wrapped it a couple times with teflon tape and put it in.
