A bit stiff, but they said it would be. I'm going to change out the GL-5 for GL-4 this weekend and see if that helps.Still shifting like a charm?
I would guess that it should loosen up a bit after you get more miles on it.
No. My experience with synthetic GL-5 is they don't shift well with it. It's too slippery. Plus, Marlin specifically says to use dino oil during the break-in for this reason.Are you using synthetic gear oil?
Pick up some Redline MT-90. It's a synthetic GL-4 oil that works great in the Toyota transmissions.
