Good!! I don't know who I'd trust if even Marlin was turning out unreliable stuff, so much poor quality work out there.

Still shifting like a charm?
A bit stiff, but they said it would be. I'm going to change out the GL-5 for GL-4 this weekend and see if that helps.

I would guess that it should loosen up a bit after you get more miles on it.

Yes, it should. But I also heard that GL-5 might be a little too slippery for syncros. Even though the books all say GL-4 or GL-5, the GL-5 is great for gears, like diffs and TCs, but the GL-4 is best for transmissions.

Either way I'm supposed to do an oil change after running it awhile, and since I was able to find GL-4, I'll give it a try.

Are you using synthetic gear oil?

Pick up some Redline MT-90. It's a synthetic GL-4 oil that works great in the Toyota transmissions.

Super jealous of this one...

No. My experience with synthetic GL-5 is they don't shift well with it. It's too slippery. Plus, Marlin specifically says to use dino oil during the break-in for this reason.

I've heard of the Redline GL-4. I just couldn't find it local.

Yea, I always have to order it on Amazon. It's worth the cost, a gallon runs about 60 bucks.
