Quick question....

Are the steering gear boxes the same from 60 and 62?
Im thinking about picking up a 60 series box to port for my hydro assist....

The earlyer 60's have a different mounting bolt pattern but the internals are essentialy the same.

Any idea as to what year to what year?
There's a guy locally that has a bunch o crusiers hangin out...
He has 2 60's that I might be able to buy one from him.

Early box (81-4/85) has slightly smaller mounting pattern.

4/85-later boxes have large mounting bolt pattern.

Sucks....when I was running my 62 I was wanting to swap out also

That's what somebody wrote up above.

here is a pic of the difference of the 2 boxes. D'animal just posted up he used an 84 box and it was the bigger pattern. so definately need to check production years.
