I recently purchased a 1991 FJ80 and am now baselining all fluids.

I want to do a coolant flush then fill using the Prestone kit which I will then fill up with Toyota Red coolant. However, I am stuck on one step and just have one quick question.

Which hose is the one that I need to remove (instructions say to cut) and attach my garden hose to so I can do a flush?

I am going to use a temporary 5/8 hose to attach the tee to as I don't trust leaving the plastic tee in there. I'll be swapping the original hose out with the temporary hose with tee everytime I do a future flush.

Thanks everyone.

Mine is attached to option B in your pic. Your installing a T right, like the prestone one?

Couldn't you use a brass T with some sort of cap/plug and leave it in? That was my thought when I bought the Prestone kit, which is still on the shelve in the garage.

I've had the plastic "T" on a few vehicles I've owned. I never had a problem with them. I don't recall ever using them more than once, but never a leak that I noticed....
