Quick Q? about seat belt rab's (1 Viewer)

Hi all. I decided to finally paint the cage, Since I have it out I was looking at it and noticed that not all the seatbelt tabs were welded on both sides, Should I? I didnt want to weaken them by over heating, Im still a novice welder...
I was just going to rattle can it.
Any thoughts?

Weld both sides, you don't want so skimp out.

That weld doesn't look too good, cold. Before you do more of it hit the thing with about a 3 lb. sledge on the unwelded side to see if you can break it off.

If it comes off then I'd make new ones that wrap around then hold it in place with your tack welds. That way even if the welds let go you'd still have the connection to the cage to keep yourself located if needed.

Thanks again, The pic is for the sholder harness. But I will check all.
I had the cage built, I dont think he could get to one side woth the seats in.
