Replacing plugs on my 3FE and the Haynes manual states to gap them at .032 but the owners manual says .044. I called Autozone and they state its .040.

What is the real gap?

Don't have a 3FE so I can't tell you exactly.

If you have the owners manual for that year I would go with that over the Haynes manual.

Can you tell what the ones you pulled out are gapped to?

Hmmm...

Of those three sources, which one would you trust? Not even a close call; what in the world would Haynes or the monkeys at Autozone know that Toyota didn't when it made your manual for you? ;p

BTW, on my 91 both the owner's manual and the FSM say 1.1mm = 0.043in.

You are right. .043 was what it actually said, not .040. They were already gapped at that range when I pulled them out.

Thanks, I will go with the .043.

Was just getting confused.
