I'm not impressed with the durability of Durabak on the inside of the tub, high wear areas are scuffing off after only 1 year. I used three coats on a sandblasted tub and know that prep wasn't the problem - it just isn't thick/tough enough for high wear areas IMO

My cousin did the rockers and fenders of a Suburban and it looks good and has held up fine. For the hassle, I'd pay to have it done next time.

DECISION MADE.......................LINE-X.I tried removing it from my Dodge and no freakin way.pics to be up next weekend. Thanks to all

With a price of linex that close to durabak, i would linex also. Good choice.

here, somewhat/local rhino dealer beats any other prices in town. Buddy got quotes $700 range for his truck, rhino did it fo $450 !! rhino has a different look but more durable then any spray ons.

Thats super if you want black. Line-X is one of the only big names that can color match any color...metalics included. I know there are others that do this too, but that is one factor that would be important to me.

Yep i understand that as well.

But a better product, half the cost or twice the coverage area, i will be willing to do anything or everything in black. dont know anything that doesnt look good ( or good enough in some cases) in black.

top it, puff it, or prep it to shoot it (heard you can?)

More important to me to seal, save, and protect the material, then how pretty the color is :)

Again my opinions

I would use Durabak again.

I put two gallons on the entire floor of my 80 and have had no problems with it durability wise yet with lots of crap in the back or my big feet wearing through where my heels rest up front.

My only complaint would be dry time. I applied it this past Fall over three colder days, like lows in the upper 30's, maybe high of 50+ degrees. It took about two months for the fumes to go away. Needless to say I had to ride around with the windows down.

Oh, and stick with black. I tried to match the inside with brown that dried orange then had to cover it with black. I'm not so sure about the color options.

Before I sold it, I was going to do my previous 40's interior w/ Durabak. I ordered 3 color samples (chips), so that I could compare them to the truck. I think you can still do this.

Line-X for a pay money spray on

Durabak/Herculiner for roll on

and definitely the roll on over rhino lining. That stuff is rather soft and IMO not the best bet for a truck that will see use and some abuse.

my $.02
