After having a ton of parts everywhere for months, I've started getting my 100 ready for the summer. I put on the Slee Sliders the other day that I got used and painted them Mazda graphite mica metallic. I came across an ad on CL for some Tundra steelies with tires for a decent price, so I picked those up and painted them the same color. I want to run a tank of gas through and see how the mpg is affected with extra weight of the wheels because they are HEAVY! They roll well with little resistance compared to my almost new 285/75/16 Duratracs so maybe that will negate the weight a little. After I install the lift here in the next week, I'd like to go with ~34" tire and will decide which wheels to get the tires from. Anyways, disregard how dirty she is - I haven't done my annual detail after ski season yet! Here's how it looks:

I've got some nice chrome 20's shod with Goodyear rubber I'll trade you for your stock wheels.....:hillbilly:

I think steelies look great on 40 - 60's. Not so much on 100's. I'd stick with your factory wheel.

I have noticed people over here use rattle cans instead of proper spray gunner. Why so? Cans are temp colours.

Because it's a lot easier to touch up when it gets scratched and it's way cheaper too typically.

Yes. $60 worth of materials, plus beer.
I got a $600 quote to paint at proper shop!

Well enough to me. How do you like those tires btw? I'm a Michelin fan.

I love the tires on the highway, but not a fan off road! Not enough traction. I will use them for the summer and possibly get an AT for Fall crawling season.

I really like the steelies Mcgaskins! Coming together nicely.....and I'm still without sliders. Maybe next month. We should go wheeling soon.

Thanks man! I'm finally getting around to putting all the stuff on I've been collecting for months :) Yes let's definitely go wheeling soon - I haven't been since February so I'm way overdue!

I disagree. Steelies look great on the 100s. Seen another one with grey steelies on craigslist. Actually makes our trucks look less pansy and more "I mean business"

How do you like the trim and bumpers painted? I am considering doing mine especially since the front bumper paint is already super faded and oxidized.

I like them a lot. Completely changed the look of my rig!!!
There is a thread in here for "ugly stripes". I have a few in progress pic's there. Proper prep, primer, quality automotive paint (matte finish). Holding up good so far
