Put some Tundra steelies on!

I disagree. Steelies look great on the 100s. Seen another one with grey steelies on craigslist. Actually makes our trucks look less pansy and more "I mean business"

Sent from my iPhone. Clumsy fingers may contribute to mistakes.

I bought some Tundra steelies just to hold me while I swapped out some tires. They were cheap, I got 4 with some bald tires for $90. Hated them when I put them on, they just looked out of place, but as spending priorities go, wheels were way down on the list after bumpers, sliders, a rack, etc.

So I sucked it up and rattle can painted them. My neighbors didn't appreciate me doing that, btw. Having a paint shop in the driveway somehow frightens people. But that's their problem.

It can't be said often enough, we're talking about wheels. Wheels get nicked, sometimes bent. We buy them to abuse them. So once they were finally painted, my appreciation began to grow. In fact, I'm not sure at this point I will change them out for different rims.

It's precisely as was mentioned earlier:
-It not only looks 'business,' I'd dare say it looks crazy. Anti-conformist functional.
-Spending $600 at a paint shop for something you can do for $60 is nuts.

If you plan on beating your vehicle silly, like the business look, and don't see the value in a 1k expenditure going to a part that has offers no functional improvement, then painting some Tundra steelies is an excellent way to go...

Seriously!

I don't want people to see me driving this and say, "wow, he just left the Bed, Bath, and Beyond." *

*Even if I did, just leave the Bed, Bath, & Beyond..

What size tires are those BFGs?

They are 285/65/18. They measure about 33" mounted on the vehicle or so and don't squat much because of the E load rating. They definitely feel a little smoother and more solid than the 285/75/16 Duratracs but that probably is relating to several factors - weight of the wheels, increased size of rim, tread life differences, etc.

Here is a little cleaner shot and exactly how they fill out the wheel well on a totally stock rig. I do not have any lift yet and have not touched the t-bars btw.

I ran tundra steels like yours with Bridgestone road tires for an 8k mile road trip. Mileage was equal or lower than oem wheels with 295 Nitto TG's due to the weight...

I wish someone made aluminum rims that resembled steelies. Believe it or not, these rims that this guy custom made are aluminum. in my opinion:

Correction: the correct steelies look perfect on the 100 series.... i.e., non-US 105 spoke steelies are the bees knees.

:)

I totally agree I think they look fantastic and I get compliments all the time. The only reason that I'm going back to a 16" rim is that my original plan of going up to a 34"+ tire has been scaled back and I want the extra bit of sidewall in a smaller rim.
