I was wondering if my 5 speed, BJ70 comes with the hook ups on the tranny for a PTO winch?

Just Curious

there is a 95% chance you will need the PTO gear in the t/case and you should be set to go...
cheers

how much and where could I find that?

How crazy is it to do?

the job is not that big, just drain, tear apart, stick in gear FACING THE RIGHT WAY (right Bruce?) and reassemble.
i think i have one here but i am sure G&S have a few kicking around, they even have a couple PTO winches around...
cheers

It works annoyingly well the wrong way.

Annoying because it works fine on all the tests including pulling Tippy out of a hellish mudhole in Alaska called "Greater Satan" but the 1/4" interface on the gears will prove too little on your first real date with the girl you've been stalking on the internet and are completely smitten with resulting in a period of awkward silence while you frantically wait for your buddies to come and rescue you.

Yep, Annoyingly well.

What the heck is that all about???

i will let Bruce tell his story but i was amazed at how much strength 1/4" of meshed teeth has...
