I just pulled the PS pump from my '76. It has a SBC350 conversion with OBA compressor mounted above the stock PS pump. I bought a high flow PS pump from PSC with a remote reservoir. Instructions say to mount the reservoir as directly above the PS pump as possible, but the OBA compressor is in the way. Anyone have any ideas? I'll get pics if need be....

I have the ps pump and remote res off an Astro van (not installed yet) and plan to either mount the res to the front apron right next to the radiator or fab a mount and put it on the inner fenderwell right beside and above the pump. I have the F motor and am mounting the pump in place of the stock alternator.

I just fabbed a bracket and mounted it on the fender but above the pump, since its gravity fed.

I did the same thing as above, works good so far. Just use big enough hose so it doesn't cavitate the pump.

If you don't mount the resevoir higher than the pump, you'll constantly have air in the system.Use a standard size PS hose, the cavitation usally comes from not bleeding the system prior to use. Always bleed the system prior to use !

Thanks for the input, everyone!

Lucky, that is one sick engine compartment, thanks for the picture.
