Proper flag disposal?

I vaguely remember a discussion on this way back, but can't find it with a search.
Someone on here said they had something to do with the Scouts and could use an old flag to teach proper disposal.
Well, our shop has decomissioned our flag and gotten a new one. So if someone wants/needs a flag, I'll be @ the Sonic meet with it.

Contact your local biy scout troop. They do proper flag burning ceremonies a couple times a year

Take it to the nearest American Legion Post (or probably a VFW). They will take care of it.

My wife did that only once - she walked into the American Legion with a baby and a 5 year old - and swore "Never Again" - too much cigarette smoke at 10 in the morning!
