petrol injection:
nope, is that the lastest greatest? i will pass though ...

Basically the same as gas fumigation, they just spray petrol into the intake instead.
Yeah, not for me either.

There is only one situation where manufacturers allow gas fumigation, the qualifier is the gas must not form any condensate (liquid) at 250 bar.
LPG fails this test, the only gases that will pass is methane/CO2, i.e. natural gas.
MAN Diesel - Engine Programmes

If a gas passes the 250 bar test then it won't self-ignite in a diesel engine.

So CNG is the way to go?, can these propane injection kits work with CNG.

Not sure the availability of CNG though.

There's probably no benefit unless you've got access to a lot of cheap CNG. But if you have I'd expect any fumigation kit to handle CNG fine.
I would be looking for a system that can meter gas depending on the flow of air, rather than just pressure switched.

In terms of availibility of CNG, if it is piped into your house like it is where I grew up then you can get one of the My Phil pumps to install in your gargae or driveway. It runs off your CNG line coming into the house and can do a fill up overnight while you snooze. In terms of cheap, again the price per "gallon" comparison to diesel will determine whether or not it makes economic sense to run CNG as a fuel "additive" or maybe someday as a bi-fuel, i.e. flip switch diesel, flip switch CNG.
