As for color, I am still not sure, but I am thinking factory Cruiser Tan.

YES!

You are doing an awesome job. I am sure it will be as awesome as the rest of your outstanding rigs.

but, Wont you have some rough or bad vibrations by having the fenders tied into the frame? wont you need a bushing where you connect them much like a body mount? just wondering...

The fenders are welded right to the frame yes, but the body is also sitting on mounts that are welded to the frame. The cab sits on mounting tabs that are welded to the frame and the cage sandwiches the body on those mounts. The same with the bed. I don't thing it will vibrate to badly. I have ridden in many trucks set up this way.

Wheels and tires will be on by the weekend. The cab will be off next week to get all holes welded up and then off to the strippers. The roof and bed are next. Fuel tank is on its way. Basically I am on the home stretch, hoping to have it ready to paint within a month.

Heres some pics of the battery box setup. I wanted it low in the chassis but not hanging down below frame height. It turned out better than I thought. Battery cables are finished. Exhaust will be on this week and the hard lines to the radiator should be done this week also. The truck really looks baron without all the 80 crap hanging off the frame. The exhaust alone must weigh 100#. The new system will have a 2 into 1 into 3" pipe running inside the frame to a single turbo muffler dumping up and over the frame and exiting inside the fender right in front of the rear tire.

If you're looking for something bright why not go "Nordic Blue" or "John Deere Green" since you've got a blank canvas - Medusa is already red and you know you don't want to be like Nolan ;) Just some thoughts - I think Dune Beige would look really sweet as well, there is also a sweet JDM OEM '73 "Nebula Green" you might not have seen:

The "Pumpkin Orange" in the background is always cool too - looking great Gary!

I've ALWAYS dug the Nebula green, it was also available as a color option in some Euro countries. Sweet color and it would be unique, there aren't many Cruisers out there in this color in the US.

I vote Seafoam.

I predict red.
