Ran into some problems...Gotta remove the fenders to cut and fit them over the shock towers. I also am kinda bummin that the stock fuel tank does not fit anymore, It hits the coil tower. I still have the 80 series tank and may run that if I can fit in either where the stock one is or where the 80 series one goes ( behind the t-case).

So, now I gotta drain and pull the almost full tank and fenders before I start mocking up the body mounts.

I will grab some pics tomorrow hopefully, the batteries were dead today...

Alright, Got some work done today. I pulled the fenders and the gas tank. After draining it...(which was fun). I Also rolled the frame into postion to drop it down. Which I want to get done tomorrow. It looks like I might have to move the engine mounts back a few inches, but its too early to tell.

I might be able to fit in the 80 series tank in where the 62 series did go...but, its also too early to tell.;p

The front fenders are going to have to be trimmed up a bit on the inside, to fit the 37s. The approach angle should be rather sweet since the wheel base of the 80series is a wee bit longer than the 60 series...and the wheels in the rear are pushed back about 2inches, same with the front.

But here it is...

The pic below is the one that is showing the final position of the frame under the body.

Ill prob take some time off on working builds because I get a little burn out on it. Then V-wag will get the most of the rear and the roof takin off to mostly tube in the rear with a 4-link...I am already excited about that build but still want to take a litte break. Because 1 whole day a weekend is spent under the hood and most days during the week after work. I need to surf more :)...but knowing myself, and that I cant sit still long. I'll prob take a month off and start in on V-wag....

Thanks for the good words man..

Digin the runner rims..
I used to have a set of those, wanted to fit them on the 72 FJ40 but of course the BS is way too much..

I always wanted to see a set of those with locks on them ;)

Actually those are the 91-92 fj80 rims....which are also runner rims. ;)

As for the body lift...its got a 17inch jeep wranger body lift at the moment:D

xtreme man... xtreme...

I'm going to give you a little advice. There's a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball.

It's on!!!

It turns out it is going to have a little body lift after all. Looks to be about a 2 inch one. I am not wild about it but its the only way for everything to fit. I am not too upset, it will be much easier to fit sliders on and the sliders will fill in the gap. I might go with the 4inch lift coils instead of the 6inchers.... I dont want it too big.
