im going to fight it, but ill let it live. what about my dynamite.

hey lowtide,
that pic with the body on looks like the longer wheel base of the 80 frame is going to be a problem. you just going to trim or what?

Come on now, there is suppose to be no tech in this build.

And yulp to your question. The rear Q'rs are getting cut up high and the front fenders are removed at the moment, I am making the forward most part of them much larger. I might even lose the valence thing below the grill and run a really high bumper...and the more I think about it the more I like it. I am art freak and it bugs me as is but there are changes around the bend to make it look and work better.

"Can you hear the Jack Whales singing?"

'beautiful. i wonder what they're saying.'

'well, actually that's a sludge tanker over there...there we go.'

That pregnant slut is playing us like a cheap fiddle!

yeah, i might have a thing for her if she wasn't a bull-dyke.

I got some body mounts welded up this weekend. And I rolled the 37" MTR out. and it looks like the aproach angle will be sweet, and that I will be losing the valence off the front for a high profile bumper. I also slide the 80 series tank under the rear and it looks like it might fit...agian to early to tell...

Lookin great....hey where did you find the tire???is it a 37 for a 15" wheel?? I need one for a spare...

Its my brothers...He had to jump thru hoops for it. It is also his spare.

I am hoping by the time I need them I will be able to find them. I know summit says there ship date is 10/26 or somthing. Maybe check there in a few weeks.

any progress lately???

yes but nothing exciting...I have been fabbing body mounts. Been taking measurements out the wazoo. It turns out I will have to move the engine back about 4.5 inches, which I am not thrilled about or want to do. Fabbing motor mounts anit gonna be fun.

I did wax it today though and it looks like a million bucks. I think the 80 series tank will work. I am just going to have to fab somthing up to hold it there.

as for future work. I will post up a shot when all the body mounts are done and everything is bolted up. Then after that I will be taking the t-case off of the auto and putting it on the h41...I have to re-seal both of them in the process.

there is plenty of work to do and being done just none of it is that fun or interesting, It will be fun making the rear quaters again though and I will make sure to throw some photos up when it does happen.

Lookin sick Al, these are the kinda things that interest me the most. keep up progress or hell go surf then get back to work with some pics!

Thanks for the comments man... I have been so busy latley its insane. I am also getting ready to launch a web site so that is eating up a lot of time. I also warped my rotors agian on v-wag so now I am just going to drop some cash I dont have and get some hi quality japan ones...

But tonight I plan on getting most of the body mounts minus the front two and the body will be sitting on the frame...Then its either on to re-sealing the t-case and tranny or moving the engine back.

Ill post some shots then..

But for now heres a shot of the North Florida Cruiserheads site I am launching in late december...

That site looks top notch man as well as the cruisers. This is an awesome build and will be following it to the end and hopefully be able to meet you one day after I get my build complete.

You making it to GSMTR this year? Ill be there camped before trail 5 with the rest of the florida crew...You are more than welcome to hit the trails with us, or swing in by the camp fire.

When is GSMTR? My rig won't be ready for probably a year or so, but I ride with the Auburn guys, so I might go to GSMTR just depends if I can work it out.

I think its the 14thru the 19th this year...

WTF?? I thought you had already fixed the problem with your rotors???

Mace ya know....it just isnt that easy.

I resurfaced two sets of warped rotors...installed one set, they warped after a few weeks. Installed the second set, warped agian after a few weeks....

I am just going to get some Brembos or Bendix and some toyota pads...

either that or Ill just park it in the ocean.

Ocean sounds like a good plan ;)

You look and see if there is anyhting else that might be killing the rotors??
And I actually thought that you had already gone the expensive rotors route..

Drive slower :flipoff2:
