dude, with all of this work you've done so far, you're having SOMEONE ELSE do the exhaust for you???
very nice build BTW. i definately dig the Audi powerplant mated to the dual cases.
i have friends that run the air shocks and, from what i've seen, i like them alot. that's why i'm gonna run them on my cruiser also.
THe exhaust work is more a function of the lack of time combined with my lack of a bender. . .
I love the flex from the air shox, but the un-nerving Gangsta-lean that doesn't self center after a corner is a bit difficult to stomach. Thus, i've ordered a set of Currie Anti-rocks. I drove the truck all last year without a sway bars, but i think i'll enjoy having them in.
My adapter plates for the engine were supposed to be tapped in Metric coarse thread, but they were tapped in M12 X 1.5, which, as i've discovered recently, is extremely difficult to find in sizes that i need. I've had to find a specialty metric store, that had the sizes, and in grade 12.9! (shieat yeah!).
The flywheel has been dropped off at OTT for Tig welding as i've had a new center plug made for it to change the bolt circle. I should have that tonight or tomorrow, then it's back to Erick for final turning, bolt hole drilling and then mating to the new centering dowel. I should get the driveline final installed to the motor on Friday or Saturday, then it's engine mounts, transfercase mounts, plumbing, fuel system, cooling, wiring, exhaust, fenders, etc.
And it has to be on the road in 8 days.
Perhaps i've seen too many of those build shows.
