If you are talking about the rear frame pieces , I got them from some company on ebay. If you want after I see the fit I will tell you who I got them from. They look good and the test fit was decent , but will let you know forsure in a couple days .

Yep those are the ones i'm referring to...let me know how they work out.

But you all know the deal.

One step forward 2 steps back. Got home tonight from work and decided to flip the frame so i could paint the other half. Even though it said if i painted it within so long you would not half to sand, do not believe them. Black did not stick. So tonight i took most of all the paint back off altogether. Back to bare frame. Learned that one fast.

since you got it back down to the metal , go put some por-15 on and be done with it.

Might have to give it a try on my next project or maybr sooner. I went ahead and got the rest of the paint off today when i got off of work. Now i put just the black on a small part to see what it will do. Will put a second coat on this evening and see tomorrow how it turns out.

No pics for the time being, but have been playing around with the gray and the black rust bullet. Black by itself over bare metal with 2 coats is strong. Black over gray that has been properly sanded and everything is no good. Do not have enough black left as i only got one qt, so for now it looks like it might be a gray frame. Unless i do like on my 45 and put that chassis black on it. Kinda think that the gray might look kinda different. What do you all think ? the frame and the axles maybe.

So for now it is a 3/4 gray painted frame.

Nothing to report today. Spent most of it helping a neighbor try and get his wrangler running after sitting for 5 years. He has had medical problems and is now finally back in shape enough to be able to drive again here soon. Will probably spend my next day off also on it. But i will work on this at night after i get home from work.

Nothing too much to report. Got the guys jeep running good now so he is happy i hope.

Just flipped the frame this morning to paint the top part again and will put the axles back under soon. Keep in mind these are not going to be the good axles yet. just something to roll it around on. Should be ordering my tranny / x fer this week so i can get a good mock up for cutting on the tub.

Another thing i have been keeping busy with is my 60. After i built my bumpers i put on some Herculiner on them. I have spent the last few evenings on them taking them back down to bare metal and putting this black R B on them. That Herculiner is a pain in the you know what to take off.

Those wheels should work out well for you! If you repaint the outer rings, they will be like brand new. What tires are you going to run?

Just dropped 5 grand on tranny / x fer.

Just ordered a 700R4K tranny stage 2.

And ordered the 5.0:1 Atlas. Did not have enough coin to drop on the 10.3. That was too much for me.

Guess i am staying home. One i got was good enough for what i will be doing. That 4 speed was nice but dogone that is alot of coin.

Yeah well I think you will do just fine with that one.

I know the stock 700R's were only around 3.0 for first gear or somewhere around there. Does this one have a lower first gear?

No, this one has like you said a 3.06 or something like that. With my gearing i should be somewhere 80-1 ratio he said.
