Toyota Land Cruiser Association has pictures of the front bumper installed. I removed the TJM tubing and I'm replacing it with some custom bent pieces soon. No winch yet, I'm thinking I might not put one on it as I will have more use for one on my 60/80 project. I've just been working out little details. CVs, windshield, cleaning, wiring, starter, and now I have to do the O2 sensors. Pretty soon it should be ready for a big trip. It is tough buying a prebuilt rig. I've never done it before. It certainly doesn't feel like mine. Why did I do it? Well quite honestly it is hard to build a unique 100 and this one had most of the hard work done already and was a reasonable price. Today I added my first sticker to it, so maybe it is on the road to becoming mine?

Yep in September.

hey ginger which truck of allen's did you get? also if its the one i'm thinking of why did you remove those front bars?? I wanted to set something up like that for mine to add a winch if slee's bumper does not come along. Any info or opinions would be great thanks

It wasn't Allen's it was Bull's aka Project Albert, this thread. The front bar looks really goofy on the TJM. It is massive and chrome, yet how it is attached is just two bolts makes it sort of wimpy in my opinion. I'm going to do a 2" hoop following the grill lines and then I'm going to do 1.5 or 1.75" around the headlights. I'm probably going to do a 1" tube across the bottom connecting the three hoops. The real reason for these is that I want to add headlight washers and mounting them in the tubing seems to be a slick solution.

oh man...!

after all this work and so many pics, he sold it...? :frown: sorry to hear that. Hope that wasn't under duress...

at least it went to a good guy here... :)

so Gin, now you got to continue the thread, it's been willed to ya! :D

Bull has a beautiful setup and some wonderful Cruisers. He probably doesn't even know it is gone there are so many of them littering his property :). His HJ47 would be my pick of the bunch. Or maybe the diesel powered 80?

Uhhh! continue the thread. All the exciting stuff is done. I'm sure you don't want to read about carpet cleaning and changing the oil. I'll see if I can find something exciting to write about.

Yep! And nothing remains except the OME and MTRS:frown: I'm hoping to have the rebuild done before Cruise Moab.

It is looking really naked right now. I love the added height without the rear bumper, but it won't last.

Custom, it will be similar to the 4x4 labs. If I can't get the custom one done I'd choose the 4x4 labs kit.
