I have done a search and did not really receive the answer I was looking for. I am a more visual person anyways. Does anyone have a pic that they are willing to share of an installed Prestone Flush T?

The picture below shows where I think it should go, but I was not sure. I wanted to check here first before cutting into some hose.

yep next to the heater valve

I have the tee in place and now running some cleaner in it for a while. Tomorrow I will rinse with distilled H20 and refill to spec.

I then plan on putting in a block heater I got from napa (before I refill). It looks like a PITA job, but we'll see. If anyone is interested, I can post some pics.

I like to use BG's flush kit. It has a flush de-activator you use to make sure all the flush acid is inert. That is a common problem with people flushing their cooling system. They do not flush it good enough and there is still some active acid left that eats the seals of the water pump.

You know what they say, flush twice. :)

Yeah I am going to flush it for a while with a hose, then flush it with a lot of distilled water before I fill her up and add Water wetter. Good thing I have been saving those milk jugs, there has been a lot of coolant that I have trapped.

The good thing about having a lifted 62 is that the 5 gallon bucket slides ever so nicely under the drain cock. I wish I was that lucky with my saab.

I know its an old post, but does anyone have a picture of their prestone T valve installed? It would be very helpful to see a picture of exactly where you located it.

Currently looking for this as well.

Prestone T Pic

Can you see it back there with the silver radiator hose clamps on it? Don't forget to open up the PITA to get to block drain.

FYI, after I did mine my radiator sprang a leak and I had to replace it. Guess there was a lot of gunk protecting my leaks.
