All,

I'm getting a parts list together for a Cyber Monday order this fall and I will be targeting suspension components on my 2013 LX570. Can anyone confirm if the LC200 upper/lower LCA are interchangeable with the LX570 version? How about shock bushings/mounts?,

I just finished doing this on my 2010 LC200

Unsure compatibly with LX, but here is my parts list:

LCAs are. Upper control arms are not. The LX UCA has an extra tab on it for the height control sensor.

Rear shock bushings are different because there is a hole in the middle for the AHC line.

Thats the same part # i used for my 2010 LC200 (see above) per their diagram. I i remember correctly, my brake line (or something) attached to that tab

I've seen this one before. I really need to start one of my own now that I'm formally transferring from the solid axle Land Rover world.
 
@ExpeditionMan I just did all four shocks and LCAs on my 2013 LX570. Here's my parts list. Are you referring to the lower shock bushing mounts? Are you looking to replace them with Poly or something? I can't say for sure about that specific part, but the rest of the shock assembly and mounts are NOT interchangeable with the LC200, so I wouldn't think so.

You'll want to remove the exhaust pipe and muffler, thus the new gasket and clamp. Make sure you get all new LCA cam bolts and be prepared to cut your old LCA's out. These bolts are a high corrosion item and often freeze up. You'll have to fully bleed the AHC system for a shock replacement, so consider replacing your accumulator globes at the same time if not already done (they have about a 10-year lifespan and are easy to do). Source your globes from ebay (2x 4915160020 and 2x 4914160020). I got mine for $477. Just make sure they are genuine OEM and not the knockoffs you'll also see there. You'll need 7.5L of AHC fluid (08886-01805) for the full job. If you want to throw in spacers while you have everything apart the number is 43136-60020 for the front. There are aftermarket options for the rear springs (I got my SuperPros from Cruiser Outfitters--Rear Coil Spacers 15mm SUS200R15).

Partsouq often has the most competitive pricing as well, but definitely shop around for each item. I've come across some things on their site that are MORE than I can get locally. Shop Toyota Parts websites before Lexus as Lexus is ALWAYS higher priced for the same part number. Most Toyota dealerships now have an online parts store that offer parts at deeply discounted prices, so check your Local Toyota dealers online shop first to avoid shipping charges. I must ask, why did you leave the front UCA's untouched? Same question with all four coil springs.

No reason to replace. The bushings and ball joints on the UCA's are still in good shape. My LCA bushings on the otherhand were all torn (probably because they were frozen). I was sure to use plenty of anti-seize on the new bolts, sleeves, and cams, so hopefully me or the next owner won't have the same problem in ten years.

As for springs, over the years of fellow Mudder experience on these forums I think the consensus is the LX springs don't really wear out. They don't support the full weight of the vehicle like LC200 springs. On an LX your AHC hydraulic system does most of the heavy lifting (pun intended) in that regard. That's why I recommend you replace your globes as they loose nitrogen pressure through the rubber membrane over time and get worked pretty hard. The AHC cyclinders on the other hand have metal membranes and there shouldn't be a need to replace unless they are damaged or rusted (two of mine were so I replaced them while I was doing everything else. They are expensive!)

I replaced my shocks because I had a dented and rusted rear and decided to do all four instead of just one. Like springs they also aren't your typical high wear item, so no need to replace unless they are leaking or damaged. That said they are very inexpensive, so why not? The new version of the rears are armored in exactly the spot mine were damaged, so a big Toyota thumbs up there.

Copy that, my LCA bushings are worn (cracked) so I know that's on the list. Front shocks are a little damp so might as well. I'd planned on UCA just because I'm in there and assumed the bushings would be worn, but now I need to look more closely.

What's the seat of the pants review after install? Notice any difference with the spacers installed?

Suspension overall is better. I did a sensor lift at the same time and the spacers are to compensate for the new ride height and future weight (spacers on the LX don't work the same or have the same impact as on any other normal suspension vehicle). My vehicle now sits level in Normal, though not really on purpose. I don't mind the rear higher than the front and it serves a functional purpose, however for whatever reason sensor lifting the rear only raised it 1/2 a centimeter. The increased height in front makes me feel a little more wallowy (as might be expected). The only thing that surprised and annoys me a bit is how much front end lift I get when accellerating.

Just prepare yourself for 'discovery' as you dig in to an 11 year old vehicle. When I took it to get aligned after the refurb the shop couldn't get my alignment locked in and found my steering rack bushings are shot. The whole rack moves at the limits. So that's gonna be another $2500 down the hole. That one's going to the shop. I've already burned all my wrenching time for the year...

That's a fun discovery... are you doing inner/outer tie rods while the rack is out?

They are included with the Steering assembly (4420060170), so yes.
