I've looked and looked and nobody does a swaybar dissconnect for the LC95 Prado. Any ideas on where I can get a pair for the front. The rear axle articulates quite well. I'm sure the front suspension must be common for another Toyota model. I'd also like to have electric or air operated ones over manual should anyone have any ideas please let me know.

Thanks
D.T.

To be honest, I don't think that installing swaybar disconnects on an LC95 will make much difference on the front. The fact that it is IFS limits the articulation more than anything. If you want to get swaybar disconnects, you may be able to adapt the ones from the rear of a Nissan Patrol which are electric remote ones. The best use of the money IMHO would be a locker for the rear, this will somewhat overcome the lack of articulation on the front. The IFS and the angles on the front driveshafts will always limit the articulation on the front more than the swaybar.

Thanks Andy but I'd still like to check on that I've checked the articulation of the front with the sway bar connected so I will check it with them removed and see what the difference is. As for lockers yeah I want some of those. Over here in the land of Oz TJM have just released there own air locker called Pro-Locker they claim it to be superior to the ARB version.

I was looking at a few 4 runners, withe IFS the other day, a friend of mine was thinking about buying a runner, and I was giving it the once over, seems like every truck I looked at the small 1 1/2 inch bump stop was about 1 inch away from hitting. I am not reall sure how the preform, and I know there would be more travel at the wheel, but my cruiser with no lift has more travel in the bump stop then the runner looked like it had.

One of the common mods on 4Runners is to cut down the bump stops some.

Also if you do a suspension lift, then a diff drop and then some bigger tyres and cut down the bump stops and put some long travel shocks in you can overcome the lack of articulation.

Not that lack of articulation ever stopped a 4Runner, almost as good off road as an LC. Still the best mod for serious off road use with maximum articulation is a solid axle swap.
