Wondering if someone could help me out, if they've had a similar issue. Did a search but couldn't find anything. 2008 LC, 243k. I currently have code B1206 - Power Window Master Switch Communication Stop.

Symptoms - Driver's side window controls do not work for the passenger and rear windows (yes I checked that the window lock button was not engaged). It allows me to roll down the driver's window, but only by holding down / up, no auto. Also the lock / unlock door button does not work. Passenger and rear windows can be rolled up/down with their switches, and the auto up/down feature works for them.

I've had intermittent issues on and off with the driver's window itself, sticking / no power, but always seems to fix itself.

thanks in advance.

It's probably the master switch starting to fail, but wanted to see if it could be something else before I drop $390 on a new switch. Got a bad speed sensor as well so looks like an expensive spring.

I have a friend with the same exact problem, 2008 LC almost 200K Kms.

The question is if it's the master switch or if there's an additional module that could be failing?

Thanks for the reply. Ironically the codes went away and everything works. Even speed sensor code went away. I believe it’s a moisture problem, as whenever it’s cold and rainy in winter that window acts up.

will have to keep an eye on it.

An additional detail, we try the master switch of his LC on mine and it worked fine

For your information, there's an ECU in the LH door...

I have a nearly identical issue on a new to me LX570. I was hoping it was just the switch, so I ordered a salvaged one from ebay and plugged it in but nothing changed.

The only thing that works on the driver master switch is the driver window up/down. No locks, no other windows.

Another thing that I think is odd but not sure if it is normal--the other windows auto work, but you have to press twice on the window button. On the second push the window responds.

Did you figure out your issue by chance?

Everything is fine right now. Appears I have a self healing LC. Wish I could have some info for you.

Actually, I redid the window reset steps and it works for me now too, so the new switch fixed it. I found one for $80 salvage if that helps anyone. Case closed.

Scratch that, everything stopped working again even with the new switch. I'm brand new to this vehicle/this window/lock system but I'm assuming there's a brain somewhere and I suspect that to have gone bad. If anyone knows more about this I'm all ears.

I'm going to start my own thread to track this since it appears we have different issues at play.
