Power window - buzzing / whirring noise (1 Viewer)

My recently acquired 2009 LX570 has developed a buzzing / whirring noise (it's not whining noise though) while the driver side window rolls up. Rolling down is smooth but rolling up makes loud buzzing noise and slows down while it comes to completely close. It's ok passenger side it is better not as bad as the driver side.

I applied WD-40 to the window tracks, no effect at all. What are your thoughts?

Is it the motor or the regulator that is going bad? Please advise.

The windows slow down as they near the very top so that’s normal, the buzzing is not. Sounds like something is loose in the door panel.

A bit old but, did you ever trace this down? Motor, regulator?
